This course provides the knowledge to implement the Scales Agile Framework in your organization. After the course, participants will understand the "big picture" behind SAFe, as well as basic lean, agile and product management flow principles, and will be able to adapt SAFe to the needs of your organization
You will get an overview of the Scaled Agile Framework and learn the principles of Lean Thinking and Agil as well as the economic drivers behind agile scaling. You will learn how SAFe can be rolled out in the organization, what a release train is and what roles and functions it contains. In a simulation you get the necessary know-how to organize and execute a program Increment Planning. Furthermore, the connections between the team, program and portfolio level in the SAFe Framework are conveyed. You will learn how to define a value stream from strategic portfolio planning, how to model the organization accordingly and how to initiate the change.
In addition, in-house training offers the opportunity to develop specific framework conditions for successful implementation in your company.
The role of the SAFe Agilist. The SAFe Agilist supports with his know-how the introduction, the success and the continuous improvement of the Lean Agile Culture in the company. He communicates the company's mission and vision to the teams and stakeholders and communicates strategic decisions in such a way that the need for change is highly accepted by the teams involved.
How can you prepare? Since the course is primarily intended to provide an opportunity to discuss practical problems with the introduction of SAFe and to exchange experiences, participants should ideally already have some initial experience in the areas of software development, business analysis or product and project management. Basic knowledge about Scrum is also very helpful. Basically we can recommend reading our White Paper Scrum Compact as preparation.
Format: In this training we apply an interactive concept with a mix of presentations, exercises and practical examples from current SAFe implementations. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences and knowledge and learn from each other.
Duration: 2 days
This is how the SAFe® 4 Agilist certification works: The prerequisite for certification is participation in a SAFe® 4 Agilist course with an accredited SAFe® Program Consultant. After the course we will register you as a new member of Scaled Agile Inc. In addition, an online test must be performed. The test must take place within 30 days of registration, is in English and takes approximately 1.5 hours. You will then receive confirmation from Scaled Agile Inc. and your certification.
The SAFe® 4 Agilist certificate can be renewed annually. Scaled Agile Inc. charges a fee of $100 for this.
